MACMHP depends upon the input and
involvement of all of our member agencies. Without it, MACMHP would be
just like so many other associations who represent only a small part
of the member’s interests. The Association relies upon the work of its
committees to focus MACMHP activities and to assist the Board of
Directors in policy development. As a MACMHP member, you and members
of your staff are strongly encouraged to actively participate by
joining the committee(s) which deal with the issues most important to
your agency.
Several “member driven” committees and special interest groups provide
input to the Association and the staff of MACMHP on specific mental
health issues. The committees are:
Standing Committees
Public Policy Committee
Identifies, studies, and advocates for issues affecting mission of
the organization.
Member Services Committee
Plans activities to improve management and program effectiveness of
member agencies including group purchasing of long distance,
classified ads, multiple insurance services and office supplies.
Education and Training Committee
Plans development activities for staff in member agencies.
Fall Conference Committee
Plans and implements the Annual Conference.
Special Interest Groups
- Executive Directors
- Business Managers, Financial
Officers, Fiscal and MIS staff
- Community Support Program Directors
- Clinical Directors
Task Forces
- Other interest groups meet on an ad
hoc basis (e.g. school-based services, rural issues, corrections,
disaster response)
If you are interested in becoming a
member of the Association, please complete the application form and
return it to the MACMHP office. Upon receipt, membership eligibility
will be verified. New members are then approved by the Board of
Directors at the next regular board meeting.
