We are pleased to offer our 2011 Community Mental Health Conference, "Purposeful Strategies and Practical Skills." Previous participants know this to be a fun and motivating opportunity to learn about new developments, relax and strengthen professional ties.
A wide variety of professionals and concerned citizens will find the conference interesting and useful. Workshop sessions have been carefully selected to introduce innovative approaches, sharpen clinical skills, improve management practices and inform about public policy issues related to services for children, families and adults. The diversity of both the presenters and participants strengthens the conference.
Our theme "Purposeful Strategies and Practical Skills" emphasizes a reality that innovation and reform happen on the ground in day to day practices. Purposeful underscores our mission and Practical showcases new tools and service models immediately useful to respond to emerging opportunities. Especially in these very difficult economic times, we strive to balance our social mission with sound management practices. We seek to find new opportunities amid shifting public policies, limited resources, new alliances and rapid change. The conference will help you and your team reaffirm your mission and strengthen your commitment to quality, collaboration and community care.
